Getting Gear To The Fight

In September 2019, U.S. Transportation Command conducted its largest
sealift fleet activation exercise since 2003. Thirty-three ships on the
Atlantic, Gulf and Pacific coasts were activated for the training. Here,
the roll-on/roll-off ships Mendonca, PFC Eugene A. Obregon and
Gilliland participate in a group sail. The exercise was designed to assess
the readiness of U.S. sealift forces and their associated support networks.
