In April 2014, Boko Haram extremists in Nigeria attacked the town of Chibok
and kidnapped more than 200 schoolgirls. In this image taken from video
by Boko Haram dated Oct. 31, 2014, the group’s leader, Abubakar Shekau, said all
of those abducted had been married and converted to Islam. They remain in captivity.

The Boko Haram group has raised its sights of late. It attacked the biggest city in northeastern Nigeria from three fronts.
