Troops with the 101st Airborne Division have begun operational testing of the XM25 Counter Defilade Targeting Engagement System in Afghanistan, reports the Stars and Stripes.
The weapon has been described as a cross between a grenade launcher and mortar that detonates over the heads of the enemy.
