Work Underway On Prototypes For Marine LAV Replacement

The Marines plan to test two armored reconnaissance vehicle (ARV) prototypes by the end of 2020 as potential replacements for the service's aging Light Armored Vehicles (LAVs), reports the Marine Corps Times.
The office of Naval Research awarded a pair of contracts earlier this year for the production of full-scale technology demonstration vehicles, the office said in a release on Sept. 10.
