Work Starts On Maritime Recon Plane

A Boeing facility has started to build the first P-8I maritime patrol aircraft for India, Defense News reports.
Early construction is taking place at Spirit AeroSystem in Wichita, Kan.
The aircraft is the first of eight to be built for the Indian navy under a January 2009 contract.
The first aircraft is due for delivery by January 2013, with the remaining seven to come by 2015, said company officials.
