Women Now Eligible For Some Military Jobs

The Saudi Ministry of Defense has approved the recruitment of women into the armed forces, reports the Arab News (Riyadh).
Starting on Sunday, women are eligible to serve at ranks up to sergeant in the army, air defense force, navy, strategic missile force and medical service.
Recruitment has already begun through a unified online portal.
In addition to standard criteria for both genders, female recruits must be from 21 to 40 years of age; measure at least 5 feet 1 inch (155 cm);...
