The White House just approved special funding for Israel's Iron Dome missile defense system, reports Haaretz.
President Obama is expected to ask Congress for US$205 million to cover the purchase of more than 10 Iron Dome batteries, officials said.
The system passed an operational trial in January, but has not been adequately funded by the Israeli military for deployment.
The Israeli government said it would transfer the funds from its annual U.S. military assistance.
