The Trump administration is considering designating the Houthi rebel group in Yemen as a terrorist organization, reports the Washington Post.
Potential steps include designating the group as a foreign terrorist entity or designating individual Houthi leaders as global terrorists, said sources.
Such measures would make it illegal to provide material support to the group and freeze its assets. Businesses would be barred from interacting with the sanctioned entities.
