Obama administration officials have confirmed that a drone strike on Monday killed Al-Qaida's second-in-command in Pakistan's North Waziristan tribal region, reports Bloomberg News.
A camera on a Predator drone identified Abu Yahya al-Libi getting into a car and followed the vehicle to a house, said U.S. officials.
Pakistani sources said a subsequent missile strike killed al-Libi's driver and bodyguard. There was no immediate confirmation of the leader's death.
