The U.S. Army has been training cadets at West Point in the skills of negotiation based on lessons learned from operations in Afghanistan and Iraq, reports USA Today.
The U.S. Military Academy began offering courses on negotiation as a leadership skill in 2006. Three years later it launched the West Point Negotiation Project to spread the training throughout the Army.
