Wendt Assumes Command Of Special Operations Forces In S. Korea

Brig. Gen. Eric Wendt has become the new commander of Special Operations Command Korea and U.N. Command Special Operations, reports the Stars and Stripes.

The general formally assumed his new post during a Tuesday ceremony in Army Garrison Yongsan, South Korea.

Most recently, the general served as deputy commander of Regional Command-North in Afghanistan.

He is replacing Brig. Gen. Neil Tolley, who is scheduled to retire early next year.
