Weather Surveillance Efforts To Assist Air Force

The South Korean air force has launched a new weather surveillance system, reports the Korea Times.
The ionosphere observation center, which is operated by the 73rd Weather Squadron, is designed to provide precise warnings and forecasts of atmospheric phenomena in support of precision-strike operations.
The center will also be used for civil and public purposes, according to the air force.
