Weapons Systems Seen At Risk After Servers Bought By Chinese Company

The U.S. Navy may replace IBM servers on some weapons systems after the line was purchased by a Chinese company, reports Dow Jones.

The Lenovo Group in China took over IBM's x86 server line in September 2014.

The Dept. of Homeland Security identified security concerns following the sale and placed restrictions on federal government procurements on Lenovo BladeCenter servers, said a Navy spokesman.
