Water-Jet Problems Send LCS Freedom To Dry Dock

The littoral combat ship (LCS) Freedom is en route to the dry dock in San Diego so engineers can repair a problem with one of its water jets, the Navy Times reports.
The crew discovered a problem with the Freedom's outer starboard water jet, a Naval Surface Forces spokesman said.
Engineers were unclear about the exact nature of the problem. The water jet reportedly caused no problems during the Freedom's trial deployment, when it traveled from Florida to San Diego.
