The United States government is offering major bounties for information about the location of seven top leaders of the Al-Shabaab militant group in Somalia, reports Reuters.
The monetary awards, scheduled to be announced on Thursday on the State Dept.'s website, mark the first time the U.S. has actively targeted the leadership of the Al-Qaida-linked group.
The totals involved have been variously reported as up to $7 million or up to $33 million.
