The U.S. Congress has decided to provide US$75 million of additional support to Ukraine's defense sector, reports the Indo-Asian News Service.
This funding is in addition to US$119 million the U.S. has already provided in 2014, U.S. Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt told reporters in Kiev on Tuesday.
The funding is part of the European Reassurance Initiative.
The U.S. has supplied only non-lethal aid for Ukraine to improve its capabilities, said the ambassador.
