The head of the Pacific Command says the U.S. has no plans for new bases to go with Washington's emphasis on the Asia-Pacific region, reports the Stars and Stripes.
During a press briefing at the Pentagon on Friday, Adm. Samuel Locklear said the U.S. prefers to strengthen ties with its regional allies and operate out of their bases as American troops rotate through the region.
