Warship Deal Approved For Russian Navy

The French government has agreed to sell a single amphibious assault ship to Russia, reports Radio France Internationale.

Moscow ultimately hopes to acquire four Mistral-class vessels from France, said Jacques de Lajugie, the head of international sales at the French Defense Ministry.

The request must still be vetted at the political level, said de Lajugie.
