France has formalized a deal to sell four Mistral amphibious warships to the Russian navy, reports RIA Novosti.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin and French Defense Minister Allain Juppe signed the accord on Tuesday in the presence of French President Nicolas Sarkozy in Saint Nazaire at the French shipyard.
