Warlord Killed Resisting Arrest

Russian security forces say they have killed a warlord in the North Caucasus believed to be responsible for attacks on policemen, reports Interfax-AVN.

Units from the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) killed Umar Dakhirovich Baichorov in Karachayevo-Cherkessia during a raid on Wednesday, said an FSB spokeswoman.

Baichorov was found in the village of Pervomaiskoye, Malokarachayevsky district, and killed after he offered armed resistance, she said.
