Wanted Hamas Militant Killed In Raid

A senior Hamas militant was killed in a raid by Israeli troops on Monday morning in the West Bank, the BBC reports.

Soldiers, border guards and Shin Bet security personnel surrounded a house with a wanted operative named Ali Suweiti in the village of Beit Awa, said military officials.

Suweiti refused to surrender and was killed during the resulting firefight, said witnesses.
