Wall Section In West Bank Starts To Come Down

The Israeli military has begun to dismantle a section of the West Bank barrier near the village of Bili'in, west of Ramallah, reports Haaretz.

In 2007, the High Court of Justice ordered the redrawing of the barrier's route.

The route cuts off Palestinian villagers from their land, according to the ruling.

About 1.9 miles (3 km) of the barrier located west of Bili'in is being dismantled. The work is expected to be completed by the end of next week, officials said.
