Wall Named Head Of British Army

The British government has named Gen. Sir Peter Wall, the former commander of the ground forces, to serve as the next chief of the General Staff, reports the U.K. Ministry of Defense.

Wall is succeeding Gen. Sir David Richards in September. Richards has been named the head of the Defense Staff.

Lt. Gen. Sir Nick Parker has been named to replace Wall as the commander-in-chief of land forces. Parker will be promoted to full general before assuming his new role in October. ...
