Viper Strike Munitions Ordered For Marine Tanker Aircraft

The U.S. Marine Corps has awarded Northrop Grumman a contract to integrate precision guided munitions with its KC-130J aerial tankers, reports the defense firm.

Northrop Grumman will provide 65 Viper Strike standoff guided munitions to the Marine Corps' Harvest Hawk armament package for the KC-130J.

The Viper Strike is a gliding munition designed to conduct precise attacks from long range using GPS-aided navigation and a semi-active laser seeker.
