Violence Follows Deadly Gaza Border Attack

Two people have been killed in a Gaza border incident in Israel.

An Israeli soldier was killed Friday after a cross-border attack from the Gaza Strip blamed on the Hamas militant group, reports Reuters.

The Palestinian gunman was killed when troops fired back. The military said he was associated with the Islamic Jihad faction.

The group later said it welcomed the attack.
