Violence Flares In Muslim South

There has been a flare-up of violence in the largely Muslim southern area of Thailand, Reuters reports.
Attacks on Monday and Tuesday targeted Muslims and minority Buddhists, police said. Six were reported killed and five injured.
A Buddhist couple, both teachers, was killed Tuesday by motorcycle gunmen in Rangae in Narathiwat province, police said.
A Buddhist defense volunteer was reportedly killed a few hours later in another drive-by shooting in the same district.
