Thailand's 3rd Army has enhanced security on the northern border with Burma after a clash between Burmese rebels and government soldiers last week, the Bangkok Post reports.
The rebel Shan State Army (SSA) said it killed seven Burmese soldiers and wounded six others last Monday in the Maung Yon area of Shan state, which borders Thailand.
There was yet another clash Tuesday near a border village in the same area.
