Vigilant Sub On Shakedown Cruise After 3-Year Refit

A British Vanguard-class ballistic missile submarine is back at her home in Scotland after a three-year modernization, reports the U.K. Ministry of Defense.
HMS Vigilant was formally re-delivered to the Royal Navy for operational service on June 21.
The 350 million pound (US$544 million) overhaul included the installation of improved strategic weapons equipment, integration of tactical weapons command systems and a new reactor core, reported the MoD.
