The Indonesian navy says it will require more than three dozen additional submarines to protect the nation's huge maritime territory, reports the Antara News, Indonesia's national news agency.
"Indonesia needs to increase its naval fleet. We have vast marine territory which needs intensive security to protect it against external disturbance," said Vice Adm. Marsetio, the deputy chief of the naval staff.
