Vast Majority Of Apaches Can't Handle Operations

Only 18 of the British army's 67 Apache attack helicopters are available for front-line operations, according to government statistics cited by the Daily Telegraph (U.K.).

The helicopters are used for operations in Afghanistan, as well as for training pilots in the United Kingdom.

Out of the entire helicopter fleet, 322 of 522 aircraft are out of service, according to Defense Ministry figures.
