The U.S. government has agreed to pay disability benefits to as many as 2,100 Air Force reservists and other active-duty personnel who were exposed to Agent Orange residue in airplanes during the Vietnam War, reports UPI.
The new rule will take effect on Friday.
The expected cost is about US$47.5 million over 10 years, reported CBC News.
The new rule covers personnel who operated or maintained Fairchild C-123 aircraft in the U.S. who were believed to have been exposed. ...
