The mission-capable rates of U.S. Air Force aircraft have been declining over the last few years, reports the Air Force Times.
Those rates measure how much of the service's fleet can fight or fly other missions at any given time.
In fiscal 2014, the rate for all aircraft and helicopters was just under 74 percent. This dropped to 73 percent in fiscal 2015 and 72 percent in fiscal 2016, according to Air Force figures.
