The U.S. Air Force has selected Holloman Air Force Base, N.M., as its preferred alternative for an interim home for two new F-16 fighter training squadrons, reports the Air Force News Service.
The service made the announcement on Thursday.
The new squadrons have been established to increase the training of fighter pilots as the Air Force faces a shortage.
