U.S. military officials have that Al-Qaida has started making inroads in northwestern Nigeria, reports the Daily Trust (Abuja).
Groups like Al Qaida are using the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic to infiltrate vulnerable communities in Nigeria and elsewhere in West Africa, said Maj. Gen. Dagvin Anderson, the head of U.S. Special Operations Command Africa, during a video press briefing on Aug. 4.
