The U.S. State Dept. has approved the potential sale of military equipment worth almost US$300 million to Kurdish forces in northern Iraq, reports Rudaw (Iraqi Kurdistan).
The possible US$295.6 million Foreign Military Sale would include equipment to equip two peshmerga light infantry brigades and two support artillery battalions, said a statement issued on Wednesday from the Defense Security Cooperation Agency.
