A senior State Dept. official says the U.S. may remove Sudan from its list of state sponsors of terrorism by July if the government in Khartoum accepts the results of southern Sudan's independence referendum, Bloomberg News reports.
The U.S. has classified Sudan as a sponsor of terrorism since 1993 and has imposed economic sanctions since 1997.
