Both the U.S. Dept. of Defense and South Korea's Defense Ministry have denied published reports that claimed the two governments were considering the possible deployment of a missile defense system, reports UPI.
On Thursday, Mike Trotsky, the vice president of U.S. defense contractor Lockheed Martin said Seoul and Washington had held "formal and informal" discussions on deploying a battery of the U.S. Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) systems in South Korea.
