Iran's test on Thursday of a satellite-carrying rocket is part of Tehran's continued ballistic missile development, say U.S. officials, as reported by Agence France-Presse.
Iranian state media reported that a Simorgh (Phoenix) launch vehicle was launched from the Imam Khomeini space center in the eastern Semnan province. The exact timing of the launch was unclear, reported the Washington Post.
The State Dept. called the launch a "provocative action" that violated a U.N....
