U.S. To Rotate Littoral Combat Ships To Singapore

Defense Secretary Leon Panetta has announced plans to deploy combat ships to Singapore for exercises.
Panetta has played host this week to his Singaporean counterpart Ng Eng Hen in Washington to discuss bilateral cooperation, reports the American Forces Press Service.
The talks on Wednesday covered defense and security issues as well as the longstanding bilateral defense relationship, said a joint statement.
The ship deployment was announced Thursday, reported AFP.
