A protest against erupted Friday in the eastern Afghan province of Nangarhar over a deadly raid the previous night, the New York Times reports. At least one civilian was said to have been killed in the protest.
Eleven Afghans were killed by American troops overnight in the Surkh Rod district. Some locals maintained they were farmers working late.
