Following an investigation, the U.S. military determined that a joint military operation in Afghanistan late last year caused scores of civilian casualties, reports the Voice of America News.
In early November, Afghan special operations force and U.S. advisers came under fire while attempting to arrest Taliban commanders in Boz, a village in Kunduz province. During a firefight and airstrikes, 33 civilians were killed and 27 were wounded, said U.S. forces on Thursday.
