The U.S. military has temporarily deployed MQ-1 Predator unmanned aerial vehicles to Latvia for training as part of an effort to reassure Eastern European allies, reports CNN.
Two Predator drones and 70 airmen are on a two-week training mission at Lielvarde Air Base, said the Pentagon on Monday.
These are the first drones sent to Latvia for training, said a Pentagon spokesman, as cited by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
