The U.S. Air Force says one of its MQ-1 Predator unmanned aerial vehicles has crashed in southeastern Iraq, reports the Air Force Times.
The UAV was in the midst of a combat mission when it went down on Monday, according to a release from U.S. Air Forces Central Command (AFCENT).
The command emphasized that the Predator was not shot down. No details on why it might have gone down were released.
An investigation is underway, according to the service.
