Adm. Jonathan Greenert, the U.S. chief of naval operations, is in India for a five-day visit to discuss naval cooperation, reports the Press Trust of India.
The talks, which began Monday, are expected to focus on strengthening joint training and mutual naval ties, said Indian navy officials.
Greenert also met Defense Minister A.K. Antony and Defense Secretary Shashikant Sharma, as well as the three service chiefs, reported the Indo-Asian News Service.
