Early Thursday, U.S. Marines stormed and took control of a German-owned commercial vessel that had been captured by Somali pirates, the Wall Street Journal reports.
The 24 Marines involved were from the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, attached to the amphibious warship Dubuque, a Navy spokesman said. The MV Magellan Star was reportedly hijacked Wednesday.
