U.S. Marines Expect To Serve More Often In Philippines

The U.S. Marine Corps will likely boost deployments to the Philippines, says a top officer cited by the Marine Corps Times.
More temporary deployments to the region are expected as part of the military's increased focus on the Pacific, said Gen. Joseph Dunford, the assistant commandant of the Corps.
Dunford's remarks occurred at a Marine function in Virginia in late March.
