U.S. Joins Effort To Monitor N. Korean Subs

The navies from South Korea and the U.S. have pledged greater cooperation against North Korean submarines, reports the Yonhap News Agency.
Adm. Kim Sung-chan, the South Korean navy chief, reached an agreement on Wednesday with Vice Adm. John Bird, the U.S. 7th Fleet commander.
The allies will share more intelligence while monitoring North Korean subs and strengthen joint anti-submarine exercises, according to a South Korean navy statement.
