The U.S. government is backing renewed military action against the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda (FDLR) militant group in the Democratic Republic of Congo after what is viewed as an insufficient effort to disarm, reports the New Times (Kigali, Rwanda).
Last week, around 150 FLDR militants reportedly surrendered with 67 weapons in the Congo's North Kivu province.
