The U.S. government has shot down reports alleging that Washington has been pressuring Baghdad to operate its new F-16 fighters from airfields in Jordan, reports the Air Force Times.
A Shi'ite member of Parliament earlier this week told reporters that the U.S. government was demanding that Iraqi jets operate from Jordan. The story was carried by Rudaw, a Kurdish media service.
