U.S. Drops Out Of Military Air Drills

The United States has opted not to take part in military air drills scheduled for October in Turkey, Agence France-Presse reports.

A U.S. Embassy official noted the U.S. Air Force did participate in the June edition of the Anatolian Eagle exercises.

Turkish media reports suggested the U.S. dropped out because Ankara did not invite Israel to the drills.

Tensions between Israel and Turkey have increased due to differences over the Gaza Strip and Ankara's relations with Iran...
